Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Neighbourhood Digital, run by Dan Bassett in East Devon, handles personal information collected through this website.

Who is responsible

Neighbourhood Digital is the data controller for information submitted through this website. You can contact us at hello@neighbourhooddigital.uk.

What we collect

When you complete the enquiry form we collect:

  • your name and business name;
  • your email address and telephone number;
  • your business type and current website situation;
  • what you would like your website to achieve;
  • the date and time of your enquiry.

We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and we do not collect special category data.

Why we use it

Your details are used to reply to your enquiry, prepare for and arrange a consultation, and deliver any work you go on to ask for. The lawful basis is legitimate interests for responding to an enquiry you have chosen to send, and performance of a contract once you engage us for a website.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in a secure hosted database that is not readable from the public website, and a notification email is sent to Dan so your enquiry is not missed. A confirmation email is sent to you at the address you provide. Email and hosting providers process this data on our behalf under their own security obligations.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Records relating to completed work are kept for as long as needed for the project and for UK accounting and tax purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@neighbourhooddigital.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
