The business exists to help independent businesses across Devon compete and present themselves professionally online, without agency prices or a process that takes over their week.
Dan's background
I grew up in East Devon in a family where small business was part of everyday life.
My mum ran her own local business, and across my wider family there have always been people building businesses in sectors such as agriculture, finance and professional services.
That gave me an early understanding of what local businesses are really built on: reputation, trust, hard work and personal relationships. Word of mouth still does most of the work around here — a website simply needs to back it up.
I have since spent my career helping organisations improve how they position themselves, communicate their value and attract customers. I created Neighbourhood Digital to bring that experience to local businesses in a way that is affordable, straightforward and personal.
I believe good service should stay personal. You deal directly with me, from the first call through to launch.

Why this business exists
Many local business owners face the same problem. They either rely entirely on Facebook, live with an outdated website or receive agency quotes that feel completely out of proportion to what they need.
Neighbourhood Digital was created to offer a better middle ground: professional work, personal service, clear pricing and a process that does not become a second job for the customer.
